Carter Hargrave was raised in Oklahoma, Texas, and Indiana. Carter Hargrave, who's father was a Federal Judge was transferred to several jurisdictions before settling back in Tulsa. Hargrave comes from a political family, having had more Hargrave’s in the Oklahoma legislature than any other family in the states history.

Carter Hargrave himself has made a mark on history in the area of Martial Arts. He is the founder also known as Grandmaster of a new form of martial arts that was designed for real self defense. The art is known as American Combat Kempo and some call is Combat Kempo or Combat Martial Arts for short.

Carter Hargrave has direct martial arts training lineage to the famous Bruce Lee school in California and is the current President of the World Jeet Kune Do Federation the largest and oldest standing international Jeet Kune Do organization.

Carter Hargrave through the World Jeet Kune Do Federation has produced over 10 martial arts films, and is the author of the Original Jeet Kune Do Training Manual the best selling Jeet Kune Do manual in the world.

Carter is married, the father of two, and resides in Oklahoma.
